Significant Progress in the HyPRO4ST Project

The first half of 2024 has passed, so it’s time to report on the latest developments and progress in the HyPro4ST project. As we approach the final project year, we have moved from extensive preparatory work into an exciting and impactful phase.

The HyPro4ST project involves collaboration between project partners from multiple to establish a newly emerging role that combines the fields of tourism and sustainability and develop the necessary training materials to support it.

What exactly does this mean?

We are working alongside 17 partners from 6 European countries to create an internationally accessible course for the newly established role of Sustainable and Hybrid Project Manager designed to train qualified professionals to fill in this position.

Key Project Meeting in Ljubljana

In June, we participated in an important project meeting in Ljubljana to present the results achieved so far, and to outline the next steps. During the meeting, we reviewed the project’s progress, assessed the project milestones, and evaluated the results of the development phases completed to date. We also updated the project timeline and the task allocation. Our Managing Director, Balázs Mahler, delivered a brief presentation on the development process and on the outcomes of the Practical Guide, which has been developed by Minerva 90.

Current Status of the Project

We have reached several significant milestones:

  1. Training Course Completed: The development of the educational material has been finalized, and they are now ready to be uploaded to the Virtual Learning Hub.
  2. Practical Guide Finalized: This essential resource supports instructor training, offering detailed content from the Training Course along with numerous methodological suggestions for hybrid training, online sessions, and making individual learning more interactive.
  3. Virtual Learning Hub Development: The online platform, which is planned to be the home of the training, is under development and continuously updated. It will feature comprehensive content of the training with interactive exercises, additional learning resources, and assessments to measure knowledge. This platform will enable participants to complete their training remotely.
  4. Translation: The professional materials were initially developed in English. Therefore, translation into the languages of the participating countries is a critical step. We are using advanced AI technology to assist with the translations. Each country is responsible for translating and adapting the materials into their native language. Given the substantial volume — hundreds of pages of content, diagrams, images, and videos — this task currently represents one of the project’s biggest challenges. Upon completion, the training materials will be available in seven languages: English, Portuguese, Italian, Greek, Croatian, Slovenian, and Hungarian.

Next Steps

This fall, we will launch pilot training sessions for instructors, selecting 10 participants per country for our Train the Trainer program. The first pilot courses for students will be available in November, involving 100 participants per country. Both courses will be delivered in a hybrid format, combining in-person classes and individual learning.

The project team is excited about the upcoming phase. We are committed to ensuring the successful implementation of the training programs. We truly appreciate the ongoing collaboration and assistance from our partners and supporters!
